Impact Reports

Our annual impact reports showcase the significant strides we have made in our mission over the years – to improve lives and communities by helping people to be more active.

Our Impact Reports

Here, you will find a collection of reports that detail our successes, challenges, and ongoing commitments to our community and stakeholders. Each report provides valuable insights into our initiatives, highlighting the measurable impact we are striving to achieve. We invite you to explore these reports and learn more about our journey as we continue to work towards creating a sustainable and impactful future for all.

Our mission is to improve the lives of people and communities through the power of movement, our work is aligned with the Sport England Uniting the Movement strategy and the ongoing work of the Active Partnership Network.

Impact Report 2025/26

At Living Better  we are working alongside health partners, local government, education, community organisations, and the voluntary sector to translate national ambition into practical local action. We act as a connector, convenor, and trusted partner, helping communities access support earlier and creating opportunities for healthier lives through movement. Improving health outcomes and reducing inequalities is not simply about what any one organisation delivers. It is about what we can achieve together.

Impact Report 2024/25

At Living Better, we believe that bold action, when
rooted in insight and relationships, can create real
change. This year, we have seen the results of that
belief securing over £3.2 million in funding across
Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, with nearly twothirds of that representing new investment drawn
into the area. From health to education to community
settings, we have delivered purposeful programmes
that have helped thousands lead healthier, more
connected lives.

Impact Report 2023/24

At Living Better, we proudly wear many hats: from delivering transformative community programmes and supporting sports clubs to championing inclusivity and influencing policy. This diverse portfolio has enabled us to extend our reach while deepening our impact across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. For a small organisation, the ability to positively affect the lives of over 222,000 people in a single year is not just an achievement – it’s a testament to the power of strategic collaboration and shared purpose.

Impact Report 2022/23

It has been an exciting and impactful year that has far exceeded our expectations. We have reshaped a lot of how we work and realigned our work with that of Sport England and the Uniting the Movement Strategy. We are a relatively small team – one that is bold, punches above its weight and with purpose because we care about the communities we serve across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. We work very much based on trust and accountability and with the significant investment of time from our Board to whom we remain endlessly grateful.

Impact Report 2021/22

Whilst 2020/21 was a year of response to the immediate crisis of the pandemic and the impact of lockdowns on activity levels, 2021/22 has been a year of transition. We have embedded the learnings from our pandemic response and built on the strong foundations of new ways of working and partnerships. In this period, we developed a new Theory of Change and Strategy, collaborating with external partners and stakeholders to understand where Living Sport can have greatest impact on the activity levels of the county.

Our Methodology

Our methodology document is intended to provide a clear and actionable summary of our framework for measuring reach, the definitions of each reach category, and the key principles guiding data collection and reporting. This summary is structured to help stakeholders quickly understand the methodology and its practical implications.

The document outlines why measuring and reporting the organisation’s reach is essential: it enables effective monitoring and evaluation, demonstrates impact, and ensures accountability to funders by showing the scope and scale of activities.
